It’s been amazing to me watching the Domain (and Austin) continue to grow over the years. When I moved here to start my university studies North Austin was hardly considered part of the city, and now, according to the Austin Business Journal, the Domain is “Austin’s second downtown”.
It seems Facebook and Amazon have taken note of the Domain’s speedy growth. They’ve signed leases at Domain 8, which is a 12-story office building planned for construction. These two companies are going to add a lot of value to this area. Northwest Austin is already known as Austin’s tech corridor, and now even more so with Facebook and Amazon heading our way!
I’ve noticed that as more companies move to Austin, they draw many new employees who would be looking for homes around the area, which drives up demand. This is good news for homeowners because the influx of companies, and people is typically linked to rising property values. Austin continues to grow, and so does the home market!
