Laurie Flood – TEAM Owner/listing manager
Laurie first started in real estate working for a top producing real estate team while earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from St. Edwards University. After graduating she spent 10 years managing professional marketing and business negotiations for Harte Hanks, Vignette and National Instruments.
A full-time Realtor since 2004, Laurie has helped over 500 clients buy and sell homes. She has earned several designations and awards including being a Certified Negotiation Expert and a recipient of Texas Monthly’s Five Star Professional award. She also has been a top 5 agent (by sales volume) for her office every year since earning the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award in 2004.
Laurie Axford – Buyer Specialist
Laurie earned her BA from Univ. Of Calif. Berkeley and teaching credential at Calif. State University, Stanislaus. Laurie was an educator for 10 years in California before relocating to Austin and working on the Laurie Flood team. Prior to teaching Laurie became interested in real estate after working as a Realtor’s assistant as well as in a home builder’s design center.
Laurie leverages her experience as a professional educator by taking a consultative approach with home buyers. By working to first understand their needs and then seeking out prospective homes, she is able to help her clients reach their real estate goals quickly. As home owner and investment property owner herself, Laurie is excited to be working in real estate again and helping buyers find that perfect home!
Nick Jenkins – BUYER SPECIALIST
Before serving 12 years as an officer in the US Marine Corps, Nick grew up in upstate New York, graduating with a BA from the University of Rochester. After his service, he returned to Rochester to earn an MBA and embark on a successful business career in a variety of management roles with such major companies as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Pacific Bell, SBC (now AT&T) and Sprint.
Nick was ready for a new challenge and joined the Laurie Flood Team several years ago. He has since helped dozens of individuals and families find their perfect home!
Nick has traveled extensively and lived in New York, North Carolina, Northern and Southern California, and Japan. For the past 15 years he has called Austin his home and is active in the community, participating in several non-profit organizations: The Military Officers Association of America, Leap To Success, and as the Treasurer of his Home Owner’s Association Board of Directors. When not at home with his family, Nick can usually be found cycling the hills of Austin or enjoying one of our great regional parks.
Kate McPherson – Client Services Manager
Kate is originally from Southern California where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. With 14+ years of Real Estate experience, Kate started her career in Residential Land Acquisition. As her interest in real estate grew, so did her career. In 2008 Kate made the transition into residential resale. Kate has worked in many capacities of real estate including marketing, negotiating, listings, buyers and running buyers’ teams, which brought her to Austin.
Kate is extremely knowledgeable and well versed in all areas of Residential Real Estate. Kate works with our clients from the time they go under contract and helps take them through the entire contract process. With Kate’s skills, enthusiasm and dedication to superior customer service, she brings a fresh take on The Transaction Manager role.
Kate is extremely committed to her community, engulfing herself in non-profit organizations that ring true to her heart including Susan G. Komen – Austin, Livestrong Foundation and The National MS Society. Since there is not a beach close by you can usually find Kate Paddleboarding on the Lake or in the Water of some kind.
Mark Kuroski – Client Care Specialist
Mark is originally from Wisconsin, where he received his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Music Theatre and Digital Media. He has worked in New York City, South Korea, Indonesia, and Singapore, but Mark fell in love with Austin and chose to make it his home.
He is involved with various music and technology groups in the city, and is passionate about protecting the environment.
Mark developed an interest in real estate while working for a local title company where he had the pleasure of observing the joy of closing homes on a daily basis. This led him to join the Laurie Flood Team where he now assists on a more personal level from the moment a client contacts the Team until their home goes under contract.
Penley Mcqueen – Sales consultant
Penley is not originally from Texas, but got here as fast as he could. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, Penley worked in the high tech world before joining Keller Williams in 2001. He brings over 20 years of customer service and real estate sales experience to help clients find their dream homes and achieve their financial goals.
Penley lives with his wife and son and their crazy Jack Russell terrier Rocket. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, writing, woodworking, and binge watching “American Pickers” on the History Channel.
Mike Flood – Property Promotion Director
Mike grew up in Arizona and like so many others, moved to Austin to attend UT and never left. After earning his degree in Advertising from UT he went on to receive his MBA at St. Edwards and spent the next decade working as a Marketing Manager for several Austin technology and software companies.
He joined the Laurie Flood Team almost 10 years ago and has been putting his marketing experience to use by helping our home sellers get the most money from the sale of their houses!
Besides spending time with Laurie and the kids, Mike enjoys anything outdoors, volunteering with youth sports and taking care of all the lost dogs Laurie brings home.
